Civic education about elections almost always fails the people who need it most. Young voters, first-timers, and anyone who finds official materials dry or confusing are often left behind. A pamphlet telling people how democracy works is simply not enough. People learn by doing.

I am building a browser-based game that teaches voters how elections actually work. The experience covers the logic of constituency systems, how to evaluate candidates, and what democratic choice looks like in practice. It is an accessible, scenario-based approach to learning.

The aim is to reach young voters and first-timers through schools and civil society organisations. We want to meet people where they already are rather than expecting them to seek out the information on their own. The project focuses on practical understanding rather than theoretical lecturing.

The game is set in the fictional Sri Lankan village of Alupotha. Players step into the shoes of different community members to navigate town layouts, verify circulating rumors, and see the real consequences of their choices. If they share false information, they witness the immediate impact on their neighbors.
